North Carolina’s reigning sons of anarchy bring you their latest opus
of raw intensity and brutal metallic exploits in the form of their
Lifeforce Records debut entitled “Reflections”! SENECA not only
maintain the rich musical heritage from the proverbial
extreme-metal/hardcore hot bed of the US but create an effort that
expands and renews. Mixed, mastered and produced by genre stalwart
Jaime King (Between the Buried and Me, Glass Casket, Beneath the Sky),
“Reflections” offers a unique blend of lyrical sincerity, sweeping
melody, and vicious anger that aims to expose a new, matured evolution
of intelligent, melodic, and ultimately punishing metal to the masses.
Formed in 2002, SENECA have been hard at work creating a name for
themselves over the past six years. Quickly establishing themselves as
one of the Charlotte area’s unsigned favorites, Seneca continued to
build their reputation over the next four years by playing a slew of
shows up and down the east coast. Since the release of their first
“Self-Titled” full-length in 2006 (originally recorded by Jamie King),
Seneca has indeed seen the true colors of their musical identity
brought to light in the subsequent years. Although their first album
was received with an abundance of positive fan and critical response
having magazines such as A.P. claiming that Seneca was “what metal
should be,” Seneca was determined to evolve from both a musical and
creative standpoint. In order to do so, the band spent the next few
years concentrating primarily on writing new material and building
their already solid fan-base through several U.S. tours.
