"Hey everybody,
We just got overwhelmed with inquiries for the DEADLOCK Bass job and
we want to thank everyone who was interested in becoming this part of
our machine! You guys and girls are great!

We’re very pleased to announce an old friend, a talented musician, an
eager beaver and one of the sexiest people around, John Gahlert (known
for his vocal duties in FALL OF SERENITY) for the DEADLOCK Bass position!

In the end we let our hearts speak and we chose John for his patience,
his energy, his visions and his grace! We could not have done it better and
we’re sure to reinvent and advance our musical creation to the next level.

DEADLOCK’s “Manifesto” brilliantly builds upon their signature paths ofguitar mastery and beautifully sung passages of bliss intertwined withagonizing growls of defeat to expand on the band’s highly diversemetallic palette by adding more expansive elements to their extreme yetprogressive-metal sound. On one hand, it is traditional and technicallyexperienced, just like their label-debut “Earth.Revolt” and on theother hand it is as catchy and listenable as their second full length“Wolves.” Within its melancholy and dark undertones of picking outmankind’s gorging and exploitation of animals as a conceptualstoryline, there is still a positive outlook to the world that was notbeen present in past recordings. Being their third full length albumfor LIFEFORCE RECORDS, DEADLOCK’s intensive and emotional “Manifesto”is technically challenging and just as excellent if not more so thantheir previous efforts. While offering innovative orchestralarrangements as well as melodic and technical lead guitar-assaults, theGerman metallers find virtuous keyboards/electronics and SabineWeniger’s beautiful vocals as essential contributions to their specificsound. “Manifesto” convinces with flawless playing and a stellarproduction done by guitar player Sebastian Reichl, while Jacob Hansen(MERCENARY, VOLBEAT, HEAVEN SHALL BURN) took care of mixing/mastering.With “Manifesto”, DEADLOCK is out to make a DIFFERENCE!
